This is about normal price from discounters -- big box stores just have a ridiculous markup on it and often sell it for $100+!

One of my favorite scents but it definitely has the "old man" 80s smell. Nice cinnamon scent and the 6.7 oz bottle lasts forever.
Old man???? What's a young man's smell?

haha -- just to clarify, I love CK Obsession, I have the 3.4 oz bottle, the 6.7oz bottle and a travel spray.. I'm a big fan of it and similar scents!

People tend to associate these types of scents -- CK Obsession, Aramis, Estee Lauder for Men, Halston, Beau de Jour, Grey Flannel, Quorum, even something like Fahrenheit, etc.. as being an "old man smell" -- Aromatic, leathery, dusty, smells like something from the 80's that you don't really see in modern fragrances. I'm a big fan of all of the above. I think the term comes from "That smells like something my dad wore in the 90's" and it gets grouped as an old-man-smell.

On the other hand, a "younger smell" would be something fruity, bubblegum, sweet that you see a lot of from houses like Paco Rabanne (One Million, Invictus), even Eros. Stuff that people wear to clubs and the stuff you find on Ulta/Sephora shelves.

I'm a big fan of both styles, but generally I go for the spicy, leathery, tobacco, oud stuff which is almost always grouped in the 'old man smell' category.

The only reason I brought up the old man smell here is that someone jumping in on the deal without ever smelling it is going to be in for a surprise if they're expecting something sweeter (like CK Defy or any of the above!)

If my Drakkar Noir is old man I'll stick with that. No bubblegum for me!!!! ( Besides I'm 53 I'm old anyway)

What is that link? Are you trying to get people to subscribe to the NY Post or something?

Fruity is exactly how I'd describe young men these days, so your assessment checks out.

It was supposed to be a direct link to an article, but SD's affiliate link takes you to a subscription page.

Teen in the 90's, this was a panty dropper same as Drakkar. What a time to be alive.

I bought one from Ross for $39.99 but made in France. This look like its made in USA. Are there any differences?
Yea, one difference is that this one is made in USA and the one you bought is made in France.
