Much like its larger-wheeled sibling, the Mahuna, the Cinder Cone is the perfect all-rounder for the person looking to ride off-road or cruise around the backwoods bike paths. It features an air fork with 100mm of travel, as well as a dependable 11-speed drivetrain and disc brakes. If you're a fan of plus bikes, you can run up to 2.8" tires. The Cinder Cone is where the mountain meets functionality at a great price.

Last night for a few hours the Lava Dome was $350, the Big Honzo was $665, and the Lana'i was $300, and then Kona upped the MSRP on all three of them to raise the sale price. They're still good deals, but I thought that was pretty crappy on their part.
Not it isn't lol. Boost refers to axle spacing. Boost (and subsequently Super Boost) is wider than standard, and wider axles allow for stronger wheels. With Boost spacing you also step up to stronger, thicker thru axles vs the standard quick release skewers.
Not in the market, but great deal for a solid bike.
What's the best Kona one out of Mahuna, Cincer Core or Big Honzo for trails like Slaughter Pen in NW Arkansas? Also, what size is best for 6' with slightly longer torso/shorter legs?
I'm getting a $119 shipping cost (tested a few locations). Is it still slick w/ that factored in?
I think so. The original $1200 wasn't inflated for the brand and components. But if you can find an authorized dealer they can order it for you at this price.

Big Honzo. I have an older honzo al/dl and the geometry is super fun and rowdy. The dropper you get adds to the fun of the bike and the 27.5x2.8 tires are very capable. If you can afford the extra, get the DL version. Components are a good bit better

True story saw an LBS clearance out $4750 Fuji for $1200. That was slick.
What is that?
