Hard to pick this up when the 100" U8K was $3k. This TCL is currently the best 98-100" value but patience wins if the U8K hits $3k again, or even $4k would make it easily worth it

Agreed, but it seems that very few people got the 100 inch U8K at 3K

This is a great TV set. The build quality is really good, uniformity excellent and I have found very little bugs. It might not be as bright, but I'll be honest in my media room t still looks super bright, vibrant and the colors are spectacular.

I think TCL went to town making this specific TV as a showcase of what they could do last year
