Excellent monitor great price. I've been using it for over a year, and it's great. You also don't have to worry about OLED burn in if you use it for gaming and work.

The Neo 8 has some issues according to most reviews I've seen so research it.

You are correct but I feel like there is something not right with every monitor. I haven't really found the perfect one yet. Also I was wrong about the price. You can get it for $549 through the employment program. At that price I can live with a issue or two

Depends on what those issues are... I researched them both before I went with the 7 over the 8. Monitors Unboxed is a good source, plus I saw them both in person at Microcenter and I chose the 7. I'm not looking up again all my research from a year ago, and I am merely suggesting anyone who is going to invest in a quality monitor should actually investigate before buying.

I got the G8 for 600, probably should've gone with this G7 instead since my PC won't come close to getting full use of the G8's specs. That said, both beautiful monitors and I haven't had any of the common issues with the G8 yet

What the heck... looks like they fixed EPP discount and it shows as $799.99

edit: I had to go verify with ID.me for education discount, but finally got it! Previously it didn't make me do that

think at this point the amount of reviews I have seen complaining about smearing and motion handling in games it would be best to wait. If this was IPS I would be more inclined to bite but, I have not enjoyed any VA panel and have had many. This is personal opnion but, I feel like 32 oled next year will be more reasonable and in most situations if used for gaming would be better, If it is mixed use this may be a better choice as text on Oled is brutal at times. 450 is hard to beat though

I get you're making a joke, but it matters for extending on monitor arms and what they can support.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I think it would be hard to outdo this monitor at this price point if you're in the market and it fits your use case.

Word of warning. I purchased a TV direct from Samsung.com and once the order is marked shipped, they can't refund. The ship date kept getting pushed (but still in a "label printed" shipped state) and no delivery.

It took 65 days and a credit card company dispute to finally get my refund. Horrendous process, you're deep in Samsung's cash management cycle the moment you place the order.
