I got those last time they were a front page deal for the same price, and got Samsung 128GB SD cards, now I have up to 12 days of 24-hour continues HD 1080P recording.

Pretty neat Big Grin
Are you able to view just the motion detected portions? I'd like to get something that stores the motion capture sections to a NAS.

is it true that Google Nest doesn't charge? I thought they did.
They do to basically get any quality use out of the nest cameras.I think $60 a year for 14 days but that covers and unlimited amount of devices now. I have a couple hardwired doorbell cams of theirs and feel that that price is fair so I pay it.

The subscription bs is out of hand with wyze but that's why they're so cheap. I have a few of these too and don't bother with a sub and just use them with an SD card in them but I'm planning to set them up with an RTSP docker container on my server so I don't even have to use their crappy app anymore and will have unlimited alerts.

This is true and can often miss the thing you want to record.

Do not use these indoors if you don't want to see yourself on pxxxhub.
Read about how they simply let users see each other's video feed.

Wyze could disable RTSP support anytime

It already seems they have taken down the RTSP firmware, but it is available elsewhere. I bought one last week and used that file. To my surprise, it was very easy to setup, and works seamlessly with iSpy. Is it fair to assume once RTSP is setup, it will communicate over your LAN regardless of what Wyze does? Might as well buy these and convert to RTSP now, knowing they will work if and when I need them.

Keep in mind that wyze has been steadily cutting features. I have two since early days. Just this morning I am not able to see events in the list which are more than one hour old. I liked not having subscription but I am switching them out for google nest cams. Google doesn't make you buy a subscription either.
Events go back two weeks

i wish there was a market for outdoor usb power supplies though. wyze's outdoor power supply isn't sold much on amazon and they're sold out on their own store. I don't see ANY real alternatives on amazon either.

That being said, i have a wall wart outside under the eave of my garage and it's been fine this year through all the rain, but for less covered locations i'd like better options.

Why do all their garbage cameras require a separate power supply. My rechargeable wyze cameras are reaching end of life and they're not even restocking them. I feel like we're moving backwards.

Yes, you need to go to your profile online, choose the cameras linked to your account, and enroll in the $0 Cam Plus Lite plan
I don't think Cam Plus Lite works on the V3 cameras.
