Thanks for the reminder, my wife's sportsline account was about to expire. I signed up with my email that I used previously and it worked, March 2025 after threatening to cancel. I did have to login to paramount using paramountplus.com/sportsline for paramount plus to work.

If you use the online cancel button and accept the 3 month free extension you will need to call to cancel before it renews in 18 months. If you don't accept the 3 month extension you can cancel online without the phone call.

Pissed to learn Paramount+ "Premium" still has ads.

What a waste. Back to torrents.
I got this deal, and can only speak from my experience.

The shows I have watched only have one add at the beginning that I back out of and go back into the show without an add. Annoying, but it works.

You're right. Some shows have the unskippable ad at the beginning, but not all.

Still very annoying. Thank you for the clarification.

OKay I went for it.. No where does it show that Paramount + is good for a year in the paramount app.

Any suggestions? Thinking I just wasted $35

"Paramount+ Premium" was actually sunsetted when Paramount+ and Showtime combined. After the merge the plans became Paramount+ Essential (ads) and Paramount+ with Showtime (no ads).

When you go to the subscription link in this post it says "Qualifying SportsLine members receive a 30-day free trial of Paramount+ Essentials." I think OP might have been assuming "Premium" was included because that was the case with previous offers when it existed. I did this deal last year before Paramount+ and Showtime combined and still get the ad-free version.

Things may have changed but I've done this deal for a couple of years now w/ different emails and credit cards. Each time the signup page said 1 month but my Paramount access never stopped until the end of my Sportsline sub period.

In the Paramount app (Apple TV) my sub info just says it's managed by Sportsline or something. It doesn't give me any specific info about my plan or expiration date.

Deal Still working fine!! Had last years deal.
Followed the directions, created new sportsline account, used a privacy virtual credit card, and created a new paramount + account. Left my old account active. Both accounts working with the commercial free paramount + showtime. Lost my old viewing history but no big deal to save the $$.
For any worried, as others have commented the text last year was fishy indicating a 30 day trial of the commercial version…but has always worked 100% for the premium commercial free version and even upgraded to showtime midyear. CBS owns both companies (paramount + and sportsline)…. This is how they boost sub numbers on both platforms prior to year end.

I was kind of wishing I did the walmart deal, but if this is a year of paramount and showtime with out comercials? well that is a value. $3/month?

Tempted, but I let my old plan die with out a desire to renew. Also since the Hollywood Stike put everything a year back, this would be a good time to be more selective if possible.

So what is good to watch here besides SpongeBob and Star Trek?
Lioness was great.
Rabbit Hole was fun (think 24, but not a gov't)
Tulsa King looks good and is on my list.

If you like Star Trek, you've got:
  • Discovery 3 seasons (this show takes a hard turn each season and isn't much like the previous one)
  • Picard 3 seasons
  • Strange New Worlds 2 seasons
  • Below Decks 2 seasons (mildly entertaining, if you watch the other/older Trek).
  • and all the old series...

CBS Stuff:
  • The Equalizer
  • Under the Dome

Plus Showtime.

Paramount account is lapsing in 5 days, could I apply this once the account lapses or easier to just make a new account? Thanks!

If you've never watched Billions it's worth a look. First few seasons are great then like all shows must it jumps the shark a bit and gets lazy, but still a fun watch if you like backstabbing light drama interwoven w/ lots of dark comedy. Very easy show to binge over a month.

I first signed up for this deal back in February 2022 which was good for 18 months and redid it back in August of this year. I had access to Paramount the entire 18 months and so far still have access to it.
