Generally, the Hormel is very thick, heavy and chunkier. Seems to lack flavor and not any kind of pepper kick. So add your own heat and spices. I add cheese, crushed crackers and heat spice.

The STAGG is more free flowing and much more flavorful and somewhat sweet. I generally do not add cheese or crackers because it just doesn't seem to fit. It works really well as a stand alone. But I will had some form of heat like Tobasco or anything at hand.

The best no-bean chili, verifiably, was made by Eric Cartman. You can get the recipe by sleeping with his mom or asking any of the Denver Broncos circa early 1980's

I generally like STAGG but have never had this version. Can anyone weigh in?
I often get a Costco pack of Steakhouse reserve but this seems to be a better value

So weird. Usually my last day to add to S&S is the 8th and then a 16th delivery date. But it added it to this months S&S instead of next months.

Wonder if this is an intentional change if they haven't shipped yet, to move things out quicker

How does this compare to Hormel? I usually don't eat a lot of canned chili, but I've gotten it most recently for $1/can, though that seemed like an unusually good deal

My only wish is that they could get the sodium down a bit more. I eat an entire can and it is salty enough

I've noticed this change in the past few months. You can't remove anything after the cutoff date, but you now get a few extra days to add additional items to your next delivery. Don't know the exact cutoff date, but it's somewhere in the middle.

Sodium is what you are worried about when it has 14 grams of saturated fat per can?

I don't even know why Amazon insist in a 10 day cut off. For the past years, they always wait until the day before to ship out the items. It always results in delaying some items a day or 2, and for out of stock items to get cancelled.
