I think people put entirely too much stock in MIM vs USA vs Korea and on and on. Would you rather have a MIM with excellent quality or a USA with poor quality? Because both of those things certainly exist. The TVL gets nothing but rave reviews, has a very unique color with matching headstock, bound rosewood neck with block inlays, Pure Vintage 65 pickups, and unique switching. It's not your run of the mill Player Series guitar.

How come these are so much less than competition, are they returns? Any good / bad stories on buying guitars from them? Easy returns for damaged items?

I bought the Lake Placid Blue MIM telecaster that makes the rounds on here every so often, for $519 before tax. Adorama was great, quick shipping. Guitar came double boxed, no neck pocket cracks, they did no setup at all, which was fine as I am still a beginner and don't mind learning. I've since bought Pig Hog cables when they were $8 each. I'll be a customer until something changes.

"Poor quality" American Fenders don't make it out of the California factory. There's nothing wrong with a MiM Fender but there's a reason the American costs more and maintains it's value.
