Actually, when you read the answers to questions on the Fossil website (that are answered by Fossil rep), it states that the sides are leather, but the bottom, handles and trim are made of PVC. In other answers, they state that the bag is leather and the trim is polyurethane. It's inconceivable to me that the manufacturer could state that the "all bags are made of cowhide leather", when the bottom and all trim are made of PVC. The bottom is an integral part of the bag and is often the first to show wear.

I have a very similar Fossil bag called the Parker and it's definitely one of my favorite bags. Fossil makes really nice purses IMO. This is a tempting price point for another purse I don't need lol.
