Too cheap not to try.

I bought a nikon range finder more than 15 years ago and paid $150. It is very good. Still works very well. But $14 for a monocular item is just too cheap. The old price on this one was pretty high. Maybe the inconsistent quality really got to it.

Is there a reason to buy this if I don't hunt or golf? I find the concept of having a range finder to be really neat, but I can't think of a scenario when I'd actually use it.

PS: the muppit-orange & vomit-green colored model is slightly cheaper ($12.45). I'd probably splurge an extra $0.76 for black, but you might want to update the original posting to reflect that option.
