The instax film rarely goes on sale. The only good way to get it discounted is packs with larger quantities.

Anyone have one of these? How is the color quality on the prints? They are cute, but if they don't print well it would amount to a $55 trash-filler.

It's been a while since I've used mine but they're pretty/really good. They work best in good lighting as the flash can make it too bright up close.

I've found the Kodak 4Pass to be the best deal on these kinds of things. 60 prints for about 18$

You can also buy packs that are close to expiration or even expired. I've only ever had one "bad" pack, it was expired by 2 years & 7/10 of the pieces of film worked fine.

This same kit was clearance priced at $49 at my Walmart fwiw.

Edit: my bad. The $49 kit is online too, but doesn't come with the album, the case or the stickers.

I recall buying one of these for a small celebration to pass around between 20people to make a collage gift later. Cant find enough use after that and the film is too expensive to give to the kids since they will waste the film on random things. I end up buying small Lifeprint portable printer that uses 2 x 3 instant films and take the pictures with my iPhone. it's much more useful and people love the result of nicer quality pics. I use my Kodak 4x6 printer 4-pass if i can wait til i get home.
