Reminder that refurb units (at least from epson, would assume also those sold by approved retailers which wally world *should* be, if you are concerned, add the four year coverage for an additional $77 on this deal) still have a 2-year warranty. However, I would recommend the 3800 instead of this as it is HDMI 2.0 instead of 1.4 if you're going to game with HDR on the projector. (The only Epson pjs to do HDMI 2.1 so far are the lasers)

See https://epson.com/Clearance-Cente...1H959020-N for the 3800 from Epson (it's 1300 tho.)

Killer deal. I have a 4010 and everyone's mind is blown when they come over to watch things.

I'm surprised this doesn't have more traction. This is a great deal. It's massive though. Don't think I have the throw distance for my 135" inch screen.

You can check on projectorcentral, they have a great throw distance/screen size calculator.

Yeah. I have good distance, but this monster is 17.5 inches deep. PC says I need 17.11 ft.

It appears Epson and PC disagree on throw distance. Epson says 13.5 ft.

It has adjustable optical zoom, so anywhere from ~13'3" to 27'11" can give you a 135" screen.

I'll have to remeasure. It's been a while.

I have the 5050UB and I got that for $2200 two years ago. The "lesser" black levels 4010 at this price is hard to ignore. We are moving into a laser light source world but dang this projector at this price would be very enjoyable for many years to come.

Been looking for a projector recently and this was in the list but reviews show not that good for gaming

Given its HDMI 1.4 port, can this support 4k HDR movie/TV from streaming box (ATV)? I'm not planning to use it for gaming.
