I'm assuming "refurb" doesn't mean new batteries…

At least with Apple refurbs, you get a new battery. My wife has a Best Buy "geek squad" refurb Apple Watch and it dies before lunch. 80% battery health.

I received this today (Sunday around noon) in Seattle, WA, purchased Friday morning at 8am. Roughly 48 hours from purchase to wearing it - that was super fast shipping! I bought the "certified refurbished" model for $479, it arrived flawless, looks brand new. Battery Health is at 100%, so this really is a slick deal! No regrets here, I'm stoked!!

My personal experiences from A4C, I have ordered from them several times over the years. Their certified refurbished always used to look brand new, aka store returns.

But the last two orders that I made in the past month, both came very much scuffed up and very much "used". I was very much disappointed and initiated a return on one of the order. The customer service was very friendly and didn't make any fuss about processing the return and sent me a return label right away.

My recent order also came a bit scuffed up. I am a bit hesitant initiate another return in a month.

Edit: I ordered both apple (3 iPads and one iPad keyboard) and non-apple (Sony, Anker) products from them

Bands are insanely cheap on Amazon. There are some very high quality bands many that look identical to the Apple equivalent. The band really isn't a big deal.

Got my refurb today (ordered yesterday and arrived via FedEx Express service - helps that it shipped from the Dallas area where I live). It's absolutely flawless. Like, there's not one single indication that it's ever been worn. Battery health is at 100%. Warranty check shows that it's good until April 2024.

Which screen protector are you guys planning to use with your Ultras?

It seems that some glass protectors are too thick and affect the touch. While some others are too thin and crack easily.

I ended up ordering these as I didn't see any overly negative reviews for the clear color and they were also pretty cheap:

My cert refurb arrived yesterday. Cosemetically it appears brand new. 100% battery health. Warranty good through March of next year. I'm happy for $506 after tax. Trying to figure out shortcuts now for the action button. Battery life so far doesn't seem out of this world, but I haven't adjusted any settings yet either; off charger at 2:30 yesterday, 1 workout, setup (twice had to unpair/repair to get heart rate to register), 1 workout, and obviously playing with it a lot to get to 55% this morning.

This is really nothing against you, but I always fail to understand the concept of these protectors. If the idea is to make sure you protect the case from getting dinged up and looking crappy, you instantly achieve it by putting that on it. It's like the thin film screen protectors that people walk around with on their phones that have bubbles, scratches, and muck all trapped underneath. I ask them why and they say they don't want their screen to get scratched and look bad. Huh??!

Agreed. I have had mine for a year. Screen is immaculate. The titanium does get some light scratches like all titanium does but it almost makes it look better. This watch is meant to be used!
