Thanks. Picking up as many of my favorite movies on 4K UHD Blu-Rays as possible while they're on sale/clearance. I know I'm a dinosaur in that mentality, but I just love the quality of disk vs. streaming. Even with very fast internet, it is sometimes quite a difference. That, and I'll always have the movie and not being dependent on any streaming service.

Wasn't going to double dip on these but as a massive steelbook collector this price makes it hard..

These are either the 2019 or 2011 version most likely.

Yes - don't mean that sarcastically but usually steelbooks have custom artwork. The ones for these are pretty meh. Generally people collect them.

I haven't upgraded to a legit 4K player. We have Xboxes (including series x) in the house but no specific new player (we have some 6 year old blu ray players). Should I buy a 4K one now?

I would. The Panasonic UB820 or UB420 depending on if you care about Dolby Vision or not.

Does the series x and PS5 not support Dolby vision? I thought they supported Dolby vision for games

How about you do some research and come back to share your findings?
Q: QuestionWhat versions of the films will be included? Theatrical, directors cut, extended cut, original and re-release of older films, extras like outtakes or other discs, 2 or 3 discs per film?
Asked 3 years ago by TheCollector.
A:Answer I know on the Disney plus app the Original Trilogy movies are new 4k transfers (2012?) based on the SE 1997 Negatives, with most of the 2004 and 2011 Blu-ray changes put back in and better color timing/sound mixes then the old 2004 masters that the 2011-2019 Blu-ray also used. No word on if the restored original unaltered cuts will be included at least in HD quality. The Prequels are most likely the same files used to create the 2011-2019 Blu-ray, up-scaled with a (very) slightly different color timing and sound mixes. The Sequels will most likely be the same as the Blu-ray and 4k already in stores, or soon to be The special features will probably be everything released on all the DVD and Blu-ray/digital copies of the past. Maybe some archived stuff as well.

When I went into my local Best But today (mid-Michigan), I found that the only ones still left were Snow White and Cinderella, Which I find amazing, because they are the only two where the 4K remaster is a HUGE upgrade over the existing Blu-ray.

No one wanted cinderella at my store as well and some cars were left over as well
I am guessing people look for interesting movies rather than technical stuff

Xbox x is really close to the same quality as a standalone player. I've watch some side by side comparisons and it's such a small improvement that I'd you don't have the money for a new player, just use the x.
Also, maybe my x is broken, but it's almost silent when playing movies. Some say it's very loud.

Would you stare at the cover, or watch the contained movie/content? They sit on the shelf spine out anyway.
