So Hisense matched TCL's QM8 pricing

It seems these companies know who their target buyer and what they are cross shopping
Samsung and Sony seem use the same metrics, with each other, on moving price, but not with TCL or Hisense price movement

I would honestly go with X90L 85" for $2000 from Costco with 5 years warranty

I have the 75" version and I can honestly say I like it more than my Samsung. I find that it is more responsive when being woken from sleep by my Apple TV and the UI is very straight forward. The only issue is that it tends to revert to TV sound from my surround sound.

I was on the fence between this and a Samsung S90C 77" but at this price this is an easy decision. If it ends up being crap well, Best Buy will let me return it at the end of Jan.
