48" clamps are $35 each. I think the sale price was $40 last Christmas.

If you plan to pick these up in store, be sure to choose "Delivery" at checkout to take advantage of the "Switch Now, Save Later" promo. Click "Switch Now" to choose store pickup and receive a coupon for $10 off your next online or in-store purchase of $20 or more. I'm also going to see if the store will price adjust my earlier purchase of these clamps at $29.98 each, thanks!

Pipe clamps are much cheaper, which makes them great for new hobbyists. Parallel clamps are way better though.

Looks like a bunch of these are on sale. Just in time for me to start getting into woodworking. Professionals on youtube suggest pipe clamps as a more rigid option instead, but the large parallel flat face of these look like a better option for a lot of things.

What's crazy is if you buy 2 48" and 2 24" it's $119.92 vs the set of the same clamps [lowes.com] for $129.92

48"s are REALLY heavy and quite long. I have bunch of 48's but wish I had 24's more often.

Also, due to how the handle is setup, I found that it is very awkward to use it as a spreader and also, you will need minimum of about 10" gap to use it as spreader.

Half cheaper in 10/2022
$15/ea for the 24"
$18/ea for the 48"

Nvm. They were bar clamps, not jaw clamps

that's what i have for parallels clamps and use cheap HF f clamps for additional pressure if needed. if you're doing one project at a time then it should be good. if you're making a dozen cutting boards that all need glued up then you need more Smilie

One key point to consider is that most bar clamps that are 48" are just 48" long but not 48" capacity. The Jorgensen clamps are 48" capacity.

how many parallel clamps does everyone have in what size? I haven't build any big projects such as table or dresser yet so I'm not sure how many I need. I have only built small shop cabinets. I currently have 36 inch. Bessey F clamps and was thinking of selling them for these clamps. I was thinking of getting 2x 24s *(to hold smaller cabinet drawer for pocket hole assembly) and 4x 48s *(for up to 5-6 feet of table length glue up?)

If you're just building out your clamp collection now, I think 2 of each is a good start. I've been getting more into woodworking and now have a variety of parallel clamps, many of them being the 40 - 50" variety. They can obviously be used for smaller tasks, but they're more unwieldy, so for this sale, I picked up 4 24".
