This is the early 2022 model with 48 GPU cores rather than 64 GPU cores, but it's a beast. NEW condition with 1 year Apple warranty.

Apple sells this model refurbished for $3,059 when they're in stock:

Woot! is owned by a little company called Amazon. Ever heard of them?LMAO
Yup and good callout. Woot is confirmed NOT an authorized Apple reseller. Also, the warranty begins on the date that Apple sold these to Woot. Warranty does NOT start on the day you purchase it. You can verify the actual warranty start date (after you receive it) by calling Apple.
I'd be careful with WOOT and Apple products. I don't think they're an authorized reseller, therefore the Warranty could be invalid, regardless of what their site says.

There's too much talk over the warranty. Look, it's as simple as this:

You go to "About this Mac" > "More Info" > and check if it's AppleCare eligible. OR, you could just input the serial number on Apple's website. Truthfully, who is using a warranty that ISN'T AppleCare?!?!?! Why deal w/a 3rd party when you can deal directly with Apple and their very cheap repair solutions?

Too much tire kicking over something frivolous. Apple is not going to go "....Well, you bought this from Woot, so we can't provide coverage" if you're going the APpleCare route.

I wish I would trust a 3rd party's warranty over Apple's itself. Spend the money, keep it moving.

Umm, actually yeah they might do exactly that because it's literally their official policy to only warranty from official resellers.

Risky if you can't add apple care after the purchase. Woot is pretty much no warranty store.

Instead of all of this back and forth "will they won't they" just someone call apple and ask about this specific deal and also ask if extended apple care can be purchased and what the cost is.

I'd do it but I am not pulling the trigger on this deal. But if someone is interested it would be a lot better if they knew facts instead of…. This nonsense.

Except it's not. Apple has a clear policy for a reason. Sure, they may flex occasionally, but that doesn't mean their policy isn't there.

Again, I'm just informing the consumers that shop here. You can argue all you want. It doesn't make what I say not true. 😂

The deal I've been waiting for! Yes, there's a more recent version on the market, and there will likely be the M3 version in a few months. And?! This is a very good price for an amazingly fast and capable machine that will last a long time. The description says new and one year warranty, so it will be that. Anything else would be fraud and I would treat it this way accordingly. I'm not concerned about it right now.

What I would never buy again from Woot! is refurbished stuff. Years ago I bought a few iPhones 7 and found out the hard way that their batteries were not only horrible, they had actually third party batteries in them which is why the Genius Bar wouldn't want to touch them anymore when I tried to have them refreshed with new OEM batteries. This fact was nowhere disclosed. I wouldn't have bought them if I had known upfront.

The price is ok, but they should offer two of those.

presumably if you're in the market for a studio, this would be a better buy than the M2 Studio Max

Normally, I'd say that Apple doesn't offer discounts since its device lifespan is 6 years, but that is a good 1 year drop. Just a little worried that you can't buy an extended Apple warranty given that this is already a refurb

This item says new. It qualifies for AppleCare+. Every new Apple product does so. And then Apple refurbished items qualifies for the exact same AppleCare+. Apple makes no difference here. Just don't fall for the seller refurbished garbage, that doesn't qualify for more than hot air.

Just got off the phone with Apple regarding my MacBook Pro purchase from Woot in October. Warranty started from the date of delivery. Y'all are fussing over nothing. Picked one of these up for myself. Thanks OP

Well aware, but you're buying from an unauthorized reseller, so if Apple chooses to not honor the warranty, you lose. Enjoy!
Apple rarely if ever plays games like that. Furthermore, people in other refurbished threads reported they got their warranty's reset to their receipt dates even though they were open box returns.

Worst case return the product.

I've bought new and refurbished Apple products from Woot and they are covered by Apple and you can even purchase Apple care. You can do all this from the comfort of your Apple computer. If things don't work out you can return it for a full refund and they'll provide a paid label.
