The Prime credit card also occasionally offers sign-up bonuses, such as a $100 Amazon gift card loaded to your account immediately upon approval. You can read up more about it here [amazon.com].
Honestly, for a frequent Amazon shopper who already has Prime, getting that card is a no-brainer. And perhaps more importantly than 5% back, is that since you'd be making your purchases with a Credit card rather than Gift cards, you'd add all the benefits that a Credit card provides which using a Gift card would forfeit (Extended Warranty, purchase protection, etc.)

If you convert points to chase sapphire it might be more worth it to stick with freedom. With chase Sapphire reserved it's more like 7.5% back after conversation
Walmart supercenter and neighborhood stores are coded as grocery stores
Curious about this as well so I can switch my payment to the freedom

Yes there is $1500. I maxed mine out last month. This person probably doesn't know that and is gonna get an interesting statement 😂
Does that require using the PayPal app? If so, I haven't tried it yet. Maybe someone can confirm.
Walmart is an exclusion, whether you're buying peanut butter, paper towels, pajamas, or paint -- in store or online -- despite how the purchase is 'coded.' Chase has had Walmart as a category before and then you would get 5% back. Chase has had grocery stores as a category before and I have NEVER gotten 5% back on groceries at Walmart (or Target FWIW).
Yup. People who are using them for cash back only are doing it wrong. I get so much better value for transferring to airlines.
Exactly. Off late I am loving the combination of Freedom flex and Sapphire Preferred. I can transfer all the points earned from 5% calendar to sapphire card for 25% more value at ultimate rewards portal. If you transfer to airline, it could be more than 25%
Should come out to 9% off on groceries (+4% signup, +4% rotating category)
