Promo Code SSCZA866 brings this down to $2900. I don't know if it was added after OP posted or if they just missed it.
My Gateway machine that had Pentium III 700MHz, 128MB memory, 32 MB GPU, 27.6 GB HDD, 56K modem, with 19" CRT cost this in 1998 dollars ($6600 today). This is cheap.
What are people doing with their CAD/BIM/MCAD workstations these days, realtime rendering? Computational fluid dynamics? This is still wayyy overkill for ~98% of CAD users on the bell curve of power users.
Just buy the latest single threaded processing beast. Until Autodesk, Bentley, Dassault makes their code-base more parallelized, your workstation will always be bottlenecked by software.
Edit: If your CAD tech says they need one of these, buy it for them! Not because the machine will improve anything but because their life is hard and they deserve anything they ask for.
CFD as a day job. First concern here is single thread perf is only ~20% better than a 10+ yr old i7 laptop chip so this box is a non starter. Goal is highest per-thread rating, then number of cores; memory bandwidth is just as important.
2 generations back. You are better of buying a 7800x3d for much less.
Can I plug 8 dims into my 7800x3d MB? Can I plug in multiple cards into PCI 4 x16 slots? This is a great deal for a lot of use cases. This would make a killer server too.

This is a workstation. If you NEED a server go with a true server - Epycs are getting cheaper. Otherwise you don't actually NEED a server and a more efficient, affordable consumer hardware will work. Nothing more ridiculous than someone burning 500watts/hour to "future proof" their pihole and transcode 200 concurrent videos on Plex when a QNAP would do…

Nevertheless, good deal for a multicore workstation. In the world of high performance workstations $3600 is a steal.

There is a reason this machine is on sale lol.
You could actually, if you run two virtual machines. I think it was with unraid.

8 channels of it. You can have 1TB of RAM with 200GB bandwidth and lower latency than DDR 5
