Agreed. Bouncing sound off the ceiling with the front heights is almost useless.

I bought a similar bundle for the same price 2 yrs back that was its predecessor-the 8060FA, 600M and 504C and a 1000w subwoofer for $1950 tax inclusive.

So please pardon my ignorance, but how are people doing stereo systems (as I call them) these days? I think it would be nice to do something, but I don't have any idea what a modern setup is like. All I have is a bunch of Google Home Minis (yes, first gen) throughout my house and they suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Do people do stuff over radio waves or BT or do they have like a wired server somewhere in their house, or do they just do things on a room by room basis?

I have these two outlet boxes above my patio that I thought were for power, but it turns out they have some other cable in there. I can't remember if it was cat 6 or some other weird cable, but it made me think it might be either for security cameras or speakers. But if they're for speakers, I wouldn't have any idea how that works.

Sorry for the long comment and the many implied questions. I just need to start learning about how to do this stuff so I can improve my sound system in my house. I'm not sure where to start.

But I'm not seeing anywhere that the 8060 II is worst than the 8000 II. That's my issue here--I'd prefer a cheaper bundle with the 8000, yes. But it doesn't exist and that 8000 II would cost more to buy separately. So isn't it better to get this with the 8060 instead and save money by not paying more for the 8000? All of the stats are the same between the two.

I may have misunderstood your original question. I have mine setup in my living room with a 77 inch OLED TV for movie and viewing. I do you use the system for music, youtube etc. but my reason for buying the setup was for 4k movies and dolby atmos

Sonos
Edifiers
Klipsch Fives

Just depends on what you're after but these three come to mind right away. Each of these have some unique traits that can meet or exceed your needs and come at various price points.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and just get a Samsung HW-Q990C system. There are deals posted here.
Don't listen to this person. Soundbars don't even compare to this.
