But even though S90C cannot do DV they are still superior to C3 for HDR Movies and Games right ? I am assuming this is because of their higher peal brightness. I am a little confused as to what to get between C3 and S90C . Is the lack of DV really a deal breaker?

The .97 cent price is a signal at Costco of a major price drop to clear out the last of an item. You find the under the website section " while supplies last" too.
It may be regional but may show up nationwide.
Talk to your local Costco electronics manager to see if their local stock is about to be reduced. I've found they tend to know when that clearance price is about to happen. They've kept me in a list before when the drop has happened. YMMV based on the person. Show them the picture of the price tag in the second picture above.

S90C blows the C3 out of the water. I've owned both. 2k for that TV is a steal, take it and run!

lol this is absolute bs, they're literally side by side at my Costco and at all Best Buy's

The c3 is the king. Samsung has bad quality ui, issues with bent panels, no smoothe gradation and no Dolby vision.

The s90 is the same as the s95b from last year which was universally disliked for every thing but its picture, which even then ppl said is too red

Lg c3 over this every day

So does it make sense to wait for the C4 with the hope that it might get MLA. Heard it is much superior to WOLED.

If you are buying an OLED, it's absurdly dumb not to get one with Dolby Vision.

Best TV on the market.

Don't let the LG trolls tell you otherwise. WOLED is a dying breed.

Why is that? I don't know much about Dolby.

Lots of hyperbole in this post.
In that review for the S90 it also shares this about the C3:
The LG C3 OLED and Samsung S90C OLED are similar TVs occupying the same market position. Of the two, the Samsung is the better gaming TV and slightly better overall TV, while the LG is the better TV for movie fans. The Samsung has a wider color gamut and gets brighter than the LG, especially in HDR; not only that, but it also maintains its HDR brightness better in Game Mode. It also supports 4k @ 144Hz, while the LG is limited to 4k @ 120Hz. However, the LG supports DTS audio formats and Dolby Vision, making it great for Blu-ray fans. It also has better low-quality content smoothing than the Samsung TV, making it better for watching streaming content, especially in low-bitrate situations.

And this about the G3:
The LG G3 OLED and Samsung S90C OLED are comparable OLEDs, each with its strengths. The LG has a flat back and is meant to be wall mounted; it doesn't have a stand to emphasize this. The Samsung TV instead has a more typical side profile with a stand. The LG gets brighter than the Samsung in HDR, but the latter outputs more vibrant colors. The Samsung also supports 4k @ 144Hz, while the LG is limited to 4k @ 120Hz. The Samsung also has a much wider color gamut and more accurate colors, so it's great for HDR gaming. However, the LG supports DTS audio formats and Dolby Vision making it great for Blu-ray movie fans, and it also has better low-quality content smoothing, making it better for watching streaming content, especially in low-bitrate situations.

In other words they each have their compelling strengths.

Without Dolby vision it's not worth it. Dolby vision is miles better especially with an OLED. Only way a Samsung would be considered is if it's used for gaming only, or costs $1000 at this size point otherwise get a an LG B3 instead.
