I just got one a few hrs ago. I would call your store and ask if you don't want to go there in person. The guy working there verified the price before I bought one.

Correct but if the price starts fluctuating up and down and then you see start seeing a consistent price as above then that's really just the price at the moment and a deal would be something cheaper than the consistent pricing. With the holidays approaching these versions of this consoles should never be priced above what is posted and still sell. I would have to bet Sony needs consoles sold for people to be buying the games and accessories. It's like Petco selling a cheap aquarium, well now they have to buy filters heaters and fish. If you don't need a console by Christmas personally I would wait until after the holidays. I am just a rational thinking human being with no super powers other than being able to whip up a mean fart…. So take my comments with a grain of salt

I think it was the fat one but you can always have them do a price check since it's in stores.

I can confirm that the Spider-Man 2 bundle one for $450 was the fat one, it had 825GB of storage printed on the box. I walked up today, asked the clerk if they had any, and they did in the back. Using the Redcard made it $425 with tax. Considering Spidey 2 is $60, using the Redcard made it almost as cheap as the $350 deal.

I hope the kids are thrilled as they have no idea whatsoever. 😉

Whatever you can get cheaper is better.
If you are new in the market and they priced equally, might as well pickup a slim.
They are the same except the shrinked size and slightly larger ssd.

People here claim to get the same price for slim bundle (since fat were OOS) during that day, but i consider that to be an exception as it involves customer service reach and good standing as a target customer.
I agree, one and off 1 day in a year sale event with limited supply is not representative of the going price of an item. The same when dimwits cited verizon series s $150 deal which in fact was not for everyone.
