A little more reviews on Amazon. I personally have it, but I have yet to build it. It's supposed to be like Lego, but Mattel brand.

My son has a few Mega Pokémon sets. The quality of Mega is noticeably lower than Lego. Some Mega pieces don't fit together well, which inudes the occasional Mega piece that isn't formed properly. Quality control seems to be lacking despite the premium price on these licensed products. With all that said, my son enjoys Pokémon and we are willing to overlook some of these deficiencies. Still hoping that one day Lego will get the license though.

I just came from Target and they had a 20% off Pokemon Mega Construx, you might be able to price match and then get another 20% off.

As for quality, I just built this and finished yesterday with my 8 year old. While quality isn't as good as Lego, it isn't bad. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be. We enjoyed our time putting it together. There are some pieces that were hard to put together and she handed me them to finish. The black movement pieces are a bit of a nightmare to put together.

This is also our second one, we put together Butterfree first. That one had us question why they put some steps in weird places. You built half the base then the body and connected it and then went back to the base. The wings got in the way, we were perplexed on why they did it that way with that one. This one they fixed it and the base is all completed first and you move on like you should.

for anyone that doesn't know, Mega has the rights to pokemon, so you won't find Lego brand pokemon building sets. I don't have this set, but tought he large eevee and 7 year old son had a great time building it with his grandfather.

Same for Halo. I bought a bunch for 90% off from toys r us back when they went out of business and built a battlefield scene in an old aquarium. It got all the ladies going 😉

Mega build quality is totally fine. Everything snapped together, no missing pieces, and it looks good when completed. Mayne not quite lego level but they're dang good for how much cheaper they are

In store does state 20% off Mega buy it's not a circle offer or anything that rings up with this product. I took a pic and showed the guy at self-checkout and they took the 20% off making it $55 which is an awesome deal for 1200 pieces. Definitely YMMV! Thanks!!

I was also at target today. They had a sign displayed for additional 20% off any "mega" block or "mega" construct products. The date listed was for the 17th thru 24th if I remember right. Not sure if it'll stack... price is still too high for me even if it stacked.. w/ 20% and 5% red card

Yep, Target loooooves to pull this whenever they have a price mistake. Just pull all stock until they all get canceled from never fulfilling. That way they don't have to cancel orders and be the bad guy. They're not fooling anyone anymore.
