That's not how this works. This is is a patent dispute. Apple isn't going to pull features so they can sell a worse watch – they will settle with Masimo (the plantiff who owns the Blood O2 patents) and go back to selling the watch. If there is a ban, it probably won't last more than a few weeks while they hammer out the details. Buying this on speculation that it will be worth more is silly. (Buy it because it's a good watch!)

You mean more valuable because if Apple loses, the new models will have downgraded tech and the current ones will be both more capable and more rare.

The trail loop is thinner than the alpine and ocean loops. This might be helpful if you are at a keyboard a lot.

I just purchased an ocean band and love it…except when I am working on a laptop.

I doubt it. My guess is that the watch gets pulled until Apple reaches a licensing agreement for the SPO2 technology. When the watch returns to market, Apple will likely absorb the additional cost of licensing to keep prices the same.

I had watch 7 45mm and never used for sleep tracking. Last week I upgraded to ultra 2 and using it every day for sleep tracking. Even though it looks heavy but feels light on hand. Finding the right band for sleep tracking is very important. I am using below band for sleep tracking and ocean band or millenese loop for day time.

This is true.

Sounds like online sales will only be available through Wednesday and it will be removed from retail stores on Christmas Eve.

I wouldn't worry much about long term supply issues. Apple Watch generates like 12B in annual revenue. It won't be gone for long.

I do. Took some getting used to, but it's fine now. I actually put it on my dominant wrist while I'm sleeping to give my watch wrist some time without a watch strapped on.

I don't know, I still have my Samsung Galaxy frontier s3 bought 7+ years ago. Looks brand new and works as fast as new. Still use to pay anywhere and everywhere. The only watch that works with magnetic stripes. The only people who buy new watch every year or so are who get bored or dont care about the stuff they own.
