Luigi's mansion 3 is an awesome game. My son and I spent hours on this game. Honestly it was more fun than Mario Wonder.

Luigi mansion 3 doesn't start off co-op. You need to get the goo ability very early in the game, like 10 minutes of play time. Just FYI if you're expecting to jump right in with 2 player co-op it doesn't work.

Thanks everyone for their comments. We bought a Switch on the Dell gift card deal for our 5 + 7 year olds but haven't bought any games yet (I still have GameFly...). Looks like we will get the Luigi one and possibly the Yoshi one also.

Is that "Switch on the Dell gift card deal" still available? I'm thinking about getting a Switch for my 5y.o. and 9y.o (and me, tbh) but I just can't quite yet justify the cost -- if that's still an available thing, can you direct me to it? (I searched SD, but can't find it.)

With the gaming leak that just happened with Insomniac, And Sony admitting people aren't buying exclusive games this will force prices to rarely drop or transition completely to live service and subscription direction only. So cheap games as we know now will decrease over they years.

They still have the Switch for $349 but there's no $75 dell gift card back

Luigi's Mansion was probably my daughter's favorite game, I don't know what it is, the only thing I can think of is maybe seeing Luigi scared of everything makes her feel brave. She won't play alone, but we've played it all the way through at least 4 times now. If you have a young kid, I highly recommend this game.

She's 7 now and not playing much, but from 4-6 that was usually what she wanted to play with me, so much so that I bought other games so I didn't have to keep playing this over and over, but kept going back to it anyways.

Both are great. Mario Odyssey is probably the better game, but they are quite different. Unless you want 2-4 people of similar skill level to play at the same time, Odyssey would be my choice.
