Rogue Heroes has a decent score on Metacritic (upper 70's, if I recall). Although not on sale here, I'd also recommend Streets of Rogue and Rogue Legacy (1 and 2)

Super cyborg is exactly like contra. Just more difficult. Great game

I'd recommend checking out Rogue Heroes from the OPs list. It's a solid deal at $2. I bought it and played through it after a $2 sale, myself.

LOVE Fury Unleashed. Just a note that completing the story Roguelite mode unlocks the Roguelike mode which is probably the best way to play the game (but does require you to be decent at it)

Neon Abyss is like Hades, in that you can reach the end but that is not the end. It's fun because you get tons of different weapons. I also find you need a lot of luck to get nice drops that will help you get to the final boss.
The studio behind it recently did an update to continue the game's grind.

I'll start clicking through these now, but I'm always on the hunt for 3+ player games (we have 5+ neighborhood kids invade our house a few days a week (7-10yo)), if there are any recommendations?

Monster Sanctuary is a great turn-based RPG, if you/your kid is interested in that sort of thing. It starts simple and a tad slow, but it builds pretty quickly into a ton of variability and customization. My 7 year old loved it, and I had fun with the more strategic, repeatable boss fights. Also the battle animations can be sped up in options, which helped keep things moving along. Small developer who has released a few free updates for the game too. Worth it at $3.99 for sure.
