Not true. That's back breaking work. Maybe if you only have a few to pull.

Had one for a little while, but in the end my hard clay soil won and the plastic at the bottom snapped.

Fiskars never responded to my warranty claim.

I bought it last time it was on the front page. It's finicky and doesn't work well on big weeds (as in, if you ignore or don't notice them for a few weeks.) Works pretty good on small to medium size weeds with a single thick center root. The design doesn't really lend itself to crab grass or weeds growing next to concrete, like the driveway or sidewalk.

I don't regret buying it, since it's good for quick maintenance, but it's not a game changer by any stretch of the imagination. If I want to de-weed the right way, I'll get my kneel pad, garden gloves, and classic weeding tools instead.

I got one of these at a yard sale and it really works well on dandelions. Not so sure how long that "reinforced foot platform" will last though.

Very good price. If you think you need it, I'd say get it now. The price goes up in the spring (obviously) but also it goes in and out of stock in season. (on Amazon at least.)

Bought this a few years ago. Cool to use a couple of times and then haven't touched it since. Not any effort saved over pulling weeds with your hands. Really just keeps your hands clean

Crab grass is a pain. I have never used this tool before and thinking of buying it for that as well.

It does as long as you get to it early

$22.35 with 180 thumbs up looks like the best deal on this - at least posted on Slick Deals. I bought one of these on a FP Deal from Home Depot - but don't recall the price. I can tell you that it works very well, but it does pull up chunks of grass from your lawn. Also, those concerned about it breaking - Fiskars had one of the best lifetime warranties around.

I returned mine after using it a few times, it just doesn't pull as well as you think it would and if you don't do it properly you'll take a chunk out of your yard where you'd be better using one of the $11 hand tools to remove weed. I'd skip this unless you don't mind digging holes in your yard

Love mine. I hear they break pretty easily being mostly plastic, but I'm one year in without issue. I doubt I'll get more than 3 years out of it, but it's worth a new one every year in my opinion. Pulling weeds with my back is less than ideal.
