I purchased this in about 2016 or so for $80. I've done over $10,000 in maintenance and repairs with it so far.
I've only encountered 2 issues. The rubber on the 5/8" spark plug socket dried out and no longer adequately grabs a spark plug. The screwdriver handle magnet fell out. I could have just glued it back in, but I lost it.

I highly recommend this over most other sets if you don't have a toolbox. The bottom drawer is empty so you can fill in any missing items like more extensions, swivels, crowfoot adapters, etc. The top section has a little recess that I store things like Loctite, RTV gasket, and oil drain plug washers.

did a side by side on the Husky and Kobalt at 99 bucks. the Kobalt kit covers a lot more ground with a more useful set of tools. The Kobalt is doing more 12 points in the 3/8ths sockets if you care. As a mechanics style kit the Kobalt comes out on top as well.

I'm looking at the same comparison. Seems like the Kobalt has the more value or useful tools in it and better ratchets.

This. I know people complain about blow molded cases, but unless you are a mobile mechanic, this one will hold up pretty well. See the comment I posted above this one about about the storage space in the Kobalt kit. It's really a nice feature.

The Kobalt ratchets fair pretty well in Project Farms comparison tests.

This is a fantastic kit I got a version of it many years ago from family when I first started wrenching on cars. The tools have held up great but the case it comes in is absolute junk buy another toolbox to carry the stuff in and your good to go.

Kobalt. I have both and would trade the husky for this one. Wrenched on many cars and the kobalt has just about everything needed.
