Ordered an EVGA Supernova P5 850w Platinum PSU for $108. It had good reviews, and was among the most efficient PSUs near idle, which is where my rig will spend most of the time. Tier B according to that site mentioned above (Cultist). It has an eco mode switch.

Used, not new, so no warranty. Also, not PCI-E 5.0 or ATX 3.0, it will have a harder time handling the transient power spikes of newer graphics cards.

IMO the better deal is getting Best Buy to price match the MPG A850G, currently $110 at Microcenter. The MPG line is considered A tier.

Antec, like CoolerMaster, EVGA, MSI, and Corsair, do not manufacture PSUs. They contract out to various OEMs and package them in whatever way suits them. If you want consistent quality, you go direct to a reputable source like Seasonic. Otherwise, you have to research each line of PSU to determine who the OEM is and how good the platform is. The MSI MAG line is mediocre at best.

i believe a good price for Power Supply Unit is 15% of the cost of your total parts. And whatever # you are around (something from the PSU Cult list B rating and above).
Most people now a days are looking to spend around 400$ on a gpu, and maybe another 500 in the rest of the system. That leaves us around 130$ for a PSU. You can get a great superflower or one of the "side branded" superflowers for under 130 (regularly available when not in a Bull market).
I have cut costs in Case, Motherboard, ram even, and went used cpu and gpu route for my last build (now upgraded, Thank God); but my PSU from around 5-6 years ago was fully reusable. an Evga SuperNova 1000W unit, which was B in the tier list back then (looks like its still there).
imo I don't see why one should cut costs in PSU given a decent unit will last 2 builds (i rebuild say every 4 years. but with the 7800x3d Bundle, I didn't have to do a full build, Thank God).

here is the thermaltake gf3 which is in the B tier list , 139.99 on the main site. I am sure if one looked around it can be had around the 130 or cheaper mark.

EDIT:
Another comment that posted the 850W EVGA unit with 10 year warranty. I would actually go with this if I was building a system today.

10 year warranty = EVGA definitely put good parts in it. This is a great by under 110 and good for most builds that are in the 4080 / 7800x3d mark.

Not necessarily true. The P5 unit is a mediocre FSP unit, not a high end Superflower like the P2 series. EVGA just knows that most people buying "cheap" oversize their PSUs and never push it to the limit.
