Yes, it does have a plastic part inside.

I bought this kettle around the same time last year at the same price, thinking/wishing its interior that touches water would be plastic-free.

Like most electric kettles I've come across, this one has that long stick-like part inside (I'm not sure what its function is). This piece is made of hard plastic. I was very disappointed.

Plastic, different brand, sold on Amazon, garbage quality.

Quite a few differences

Have this. I don't use it alot. It's pretty to look at but since the handle does not move, I don't use it as often as my other kettle that has a fold down handle.

this is something that is meant to be displayed, not used.

different tea requires different temperature, temperature adjustment is a must. you also want a gooseneck kettle while you at it.

if it must be Bodum and must be around 30 dollar
i'd go with

Wait, this has no temperature adjustment feature at all?!
Unless someone always wants exactly-boiling water, why would this be a reasonable choice? e.g., it's really useful to be able to choose specific lower temperatures for green tea, especially matcha!
Really? I've never heard of such; we just boil water.

Because green tea leaves are not oxidised like black leaves, you should never use boiling water as it will scorch the leaves and you'll miss out on the tea's full flavour profile. Steeping your leaves in water at 85°C for Chinese green tea and 70°C for Japanese green and will draw out the best flavours from your leaves. If you don't have a temperature variable kettle, boil freshly-drawn (ideally filtered) water, then open the kettle lid and leave it to cool for three minutes. Or simply add a splash of cold water into your cup or pot.

Anyone know if this is Made in China? I saw one Amazon review that mentioned "Assembled in China", but looking for anyone else that might know materials and manufacture country (really want an electric kettle made in Italy).

Thanks for the tip. I just bought one of these for my wife, who has been using the microwave to heat up her tea water.

I have this and yes it is indeed garbage.
Cheap handle made to look like wood so it's worse. Can't turn handle to side so it's hard to add water. Overall quality is worse than garbage. You can get better stuff from TEMU

Any induction kettle u know? I have been looking but couldnt find one.
Yes I got one that's quite good from coffee gator. Assume you mean one for an induction cook top, it was an SD one when I got it, but typically goes for $20 when not on sale.
