I bought 4 and I'm going to stack them all on the same screen so it will be 1000 lumen for $120
Walmart Free Shipping hack: Order a second, filler item for store pickup. Once the projector ships, cancel the store pickup order (or do nothing and it'll cancel on its own eventually). Don't need to go to the store or return anything.
Curse you OP. I don't even know why I purchased this.

Don't really know how the $29 one is but the $59 seems decent. Good amount of brightness even with lights on. Colors and contrast might not be the best.
The $29 one got decent speakers and fan not too loud compared to the $59 one but not as bright.

Anyone else find the HDMI3 input useless? It's a male plug set back into the case so I'm not sure that there are any streamers that can actually plug directly into that input. You'd have to buy a female to female HDMI adapter to utilize it.

Does anyone else having the issue of it stuck at RCA logo at times when you switch it on? I had to unplug it manually to power it off and then switch back on to get to boot normally everytime this happens. Still functions after I do this hard power off and restart.

I've not found a use for it, either. The micro-usb male plug seems like it would be useful to power something like a chromecast, but all the streaming sticks like that have their own male hdmi. I've never seen a small enough one with a female plug that would be able to take advantage of this 3rd hdmi plug.

Do we know what kind of mounting thread is on the bottom? It isn't a standard one used by regular tripods. The diameter matches up, but the bite angle of the threads is too small/fine, as all my tripod and camera equipment have wider threads. I can only screw them in a couple rotations before they jam up.

It would be nice to find a thread adapter.

I literally have this RCA projector sitting next to a JVC D-ILA 1080P projector that was upgraded/calibrated by Faourdja and cost around $30,000 when new. Which one looks better? The JVC/Fourdja. Does the RCA look AMAZING for $29, or even if it were $129? It sure does!

The average 500-800 projector 15 years ago looked about as bad as this at a lower resolution. If you deliberatiley tweak the brightness/contrast and color on this unit it actually is usable with a bit of annoying look to the image but it IS indeed high enough quality for a kid or teenager to play games and watch movies and tv on in a pitch black basement. Or if a person just wanted a big screen experience now and again it also is a smokin hot deal.

As with many cheap displays you need to set the brightness and contrast all wonky to get them to perform anywhere near normal. I had to set my brightness around 85-90, contrast around 20-30, color around 50-55, sharpness around 50, and color temp to warm. I thought the keystone in either direction blurred the lens but it turns out it doesn't do it so much in one direction as the other. It's all a gamble. I am extremely picky about image quality and this will pass for me with some occasional tweaking.
Color me surprised. I set it up today and it has adequate focus throughout the full display. $29 was a bargain for what it does. Now we'll just see how long it lasts.

Thanks for taking the time to convince a skeptic.

This bothered me too at first... it appears to be a standard M6 size screw/bolt. Late reply but maybe somebody else will find this info in the future.

I'm using it to watch old movies - laurel and hardy at the moment. While I haven't worked on it yet to get the perfect focus, it seems pretty entertaining for $29.

There is another review I saw as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQwEvjGuyb8. This one said once he moved the projector past about 9-10 feet away from the wall, he could no longer focus the image. At 9-10feet, the picture size was barely 100" diagonal. I was thinking about getting this projector because I have a 140" wall and it is brighter than my current projector... but if I can't get it focused past 100" I'll have to pass. Anyone else have hands on experience with this projector and its focusing?
Got this for Christmas and this has been my experience. The focus ring is very limited and so is the keystone. For the price it's a great deal! It can get sharp but only if you're closer to the wall and the sharpness is not uniform. The outer parts are a little blurry and the farther you go back, the focus ring becomes unusable because you can only turn it so little compared to other projectors. You can reach 140" but it will be blurry. The key points are this is a heck of a deal if you got it at $30, it's pretty bright and native 1080p I got mine at 90" and it looks amazing plus the sound is decent. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is what brand I should put on my Onn Android Tv box remote to control the power on/off. RCA doesn't do it and I'm hoping there's an alternate brand that will turn the projector on and off so I don't have to use 2 remotes.

for anyone that bought this does yours also whines like a leaf blower the moment you turn it on ? I know it's cheap but it is quite loud.
Mine hums like a regular PC fan which this one has but you probably got a fan with defective bearings that is what makes that noise from my experience. Only option is to replace the fan which is very cheap or exchange it for a new one if you can.

have used it a few times since the purchase. Yes, the fan is loud. Yes, the focus around the edge/side is blurry. But it's a great deal for $29, good enough to watch some movies from time to time. I think it would be fun to watch movies outdoors during summer time.
