I bought 4 and I'm going to stack them all on the same screen so it will be 1000 lumen for $120
Walmart Free Shipping hack: Order a second, filler item for store pickup. Once the projector ships, cancel the store pickup order (or do nothing and it'll cancel on its own eventually). Don't need to go to the store or return anything.
Curse you OP. I don't even know why I purchased this.

99% of the people commenting have absolutely no experience with real projectors. Stop acting like this is a good product because it is not. This is literal e-waste manufactured in a 3rd world country & RCA slapped their name on it. RCA is not the brand it was years ago. RCA does not manufacture anything anymore.
True, but if I don't like it, it'll become Wal-Mart's problem.

250 lumens is very weak
Yes. But it's $30. What did you expect.

It will do fine in a dark room. Just don't expect much in a sunny living room or bright office.

Wal-Mart also has a slightly more expensive RCA 1080P home theater projector with 450 ANSI lumens for only $59. Which of these two projectors you think is better? https://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-10...hbdg=L1800
i went with the high end $59 model...doesn't arrive until tomorrow. i'm still keeping expectations fairly low but it certainly looks better on paper.

Folks.. just want a small economical projector for little kids to play games using old Xbox Kinect.. is this a good fit?
Or I'm looking at this with 450 for a little extra better?

Lumen wise I would the $45 one is good for not more.
But this $29 one is good too. Little kids won't notice the soft corners or input lag.

Also great for movie night with kids

Agreed, although I'd love to see a limerick version ("Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!"-style). I'd try it myself, but alas I'm too... umm... Caucasian... to be good at rhyming, 🤷

How's this?

That's one of the best fillers. I love this (2022 version) over any other streamers in the house (all less than $100)
I own the ONN and hate it. The volume is low and Android still hasn't thought of adding volume control in the OS, and that makes the device unusable.

The volume is inherently low in the device. And no, I can't just make the TV louder to make up for it. I can't jack up my Denon AVR to 80% and blow out my speakers when I switch to another input.

Funny thing my Google Chromecast with GoogleTV stick has the same problem. Low volume again and no volume control in the OS.

And both of these run AndroidTV which is not true android. So the play store is very limited. I wanted to run home security app to watch my cameras, Install Brave for ad free YouTube, install telegram for movies, and none of those work not even side loading. AndroidTV is garbage.

This with the 20% coupon on page seems better
Native res is only 720, and half the brightness at 120 ANSI lumens. Better how?

Same. Let us know how well it works and how bright and clear the projection is. I won't get to test it out until next week.

Have you tried to adjust the device's volume in the google home app on a phone/tablet? It's a weird quirk that has annoyed me in the past as well.

I dunno what your issue is, but my Onn box has a remote with a volume control right on it (although with CEC it seems random as to whether the volume on the box or the TV gets changed using it). I leave it at at max and use the TV remote for everything. I do have a problem where some streaming TV channels have a very low volume, but I'm quite certain that's due to the source sound levels.

Android TV is full Android, but the apps are limited to those designed for use by a remote control since the usual touch interface doesn't exist. That's a "GOOD THING" since I've side-loaded apps not designed for it and they're all but entirely unusable. For those apps that I can't live without, I connect my phone and use this app [google.com] to emulate a mouse and keyboard. Alternately, you could just hook up real ones via Bluetooth, or get a powered hub that'll take USB ones while still powering the box.
