YMMV, but if battery life is important to you, Govee's thermometer / hygrometers have notoriously poor battery lives. This could be fine for your use case, but reviewers report between days to maybe 3-4 months for this specific model.

I decided to grab the e-ink version instead for a few bucks more (11.89 after 30% coupon). It runs off a button battery, with a 1 year battery life.

I use one paired with Govee space heater to maintain a desired temperature. It exceeds my expectation in terms of sync frequency and accuracy (close to Nest thermostat reading). Recommend

Do I really want to add yet another proprietary company app just to use it? I think I have around 8 now. Repeating a comment from another deal thread that we need a moviesanywhere app to consolidate them.

I'm sure not directly as Honeywell has their own they would like to sell you but maybe something through Home Assistant?
That's what I was wondering. I just installed home assistant and trying to add figure out what all is compatible

Use these with Govee humidifiers to maintain humidity. They are great. Only wish they were also exposed to Alexa or Google Home

You mean Home Assistant? Even better, if you're smart about setup and which devices you add, the data never has to leave your home network, so a third party will never have access to it.

I have my Honeywell thermostat and my Govee thermostats connected to my Home Assistant running on Raspberry Pi 4. It connects to the Govee thermostats via Bluetooth so it needs to be within range. My Pi is in my basement and reaches throughout my 2 story house.

I have not made automation to control my thermostat but it would be easy to do. I have HVAC dampers that I would rather mine control so I'm looking into a smart control for my damper so it could open or shut if one story is too hot or cold.

Have the water detectors and they work great. Also have the wifi version of this but need a sale on another.
Their leak sensors saved my butt the other day. Totally recommend them

How do you make it so your Bluetooth signal reached 2 levels above?

Is this the Govee space heater version you have Govee Smart Space Heater for Indoor Use, 75°Oscillating Portable Ceramic Electric Heater with Thermostat, App & Voice Remote, Auto Modes, 24H Timer, Overheating & Tip-Over Protection Heat for Office https://a.co/d/4GFxhI9 and is it fairly quiet in comparison to other space heaters, or is it a jet engine?

I have a Vornado now, it is amazingly quiet, and that's a feature I really like. I wonder if there's an in-line or outlet gizmo which will function the same way (turning the heater off and on).
Mine is the similar version without oscillating. So I guess the noise level is the same to the one you linked. I would rate its noise level to be acceptable for sleeping. It's much quieter than my older heaters but noticeably louder than the other heater which circulates air with a bladed cyclone which is whisper level noise. This one is just fan based circulation. For other solutions without going deep to HomeAssistant, I tried SmartLife with their temperature sensor and smart plug to automate on/off once certain temperature is reached. But the sync delay is not what I like. For example, the temperature shows a reading below my set temperature but smart plug waits around 10 mins to turn on heater. The automation solution with Govee is what I like the best so far

Bought either this or a similar model from Govee back in September maybe and it was completely inaccurate. Would recommend avoiding.

I'll have to look into it more. Seems like a fun project to do with Pi. Thanks.

I didn't do anything special, but it does have signal issues reaching my outdoor thermostat. Relocating the Pi to my middle floor would be better, but I haven't found a spot there for it yet.

How many of these does the app support at once?
Not sure, but a lot. I have a ton of these for various use and they all display in the app.

I have that same one it's not too loud. Works great with the app, I might just pic this up.
