Alternatives to SD?

I've been using SD for almost 18 years and the deals really are lacking nowadays. What other websites are you recommending?

Retail is really struggling right now and not just because of theft. For awhile now its been Walmart, Target and Amazon. When I used to do surveys for Walmart they were constantly concerned with keeping up with Amazon and I told them over and over that it was pointless. Their website is just a mess. I suspect Target will fold in the next 5-10 years.

Amazon continues to crush everyone and not just with shipping. When I'm looking for a product on Amazon I just enter a fair price that I can afford and always manage to find something of quality in my price range. The same can't be said for retail. I will miss stores like Macy's and JCP, but didn't and still haven't invested much in their online presence.
If Amazon invested in places where you can pickup online orders from like I believe they partner with Kohl's for dropping off returns then I would possibly buy more from them. But otherwise I refuse to pay for shipping or Prime as I buy from there so infrequently.

The loss of other chains is sad and frustrating for me since I still find random one off deals that are amazing. It's also another reason why I support those companies rather than Amazon as besides the occasional price mistake their "deals" aren't deals to me.

I'd love it if Amazon chose to pick up returns when dropping off items. That would be fantastic.

Amazon changed my easy free return to staples….. in past I could drop off free at ups drop off. So like a cvs. Then these MF'rs change once free option to staples. I don't mind staples but I have many more cvs's near me. Been on Amazon chat, email, phone but get as in why

Frequent returns? Maybe they're trying to dissuade you from making so many by making it more difficult.

You know eventually they just go scorched earth and ban not just your buying account but any selling account AND maybe even anybody else's account living under your roof on your internet.

I don't see how posting a deal for a inkbird thermometer would be spam. I really don't care but stumbled across it while looking for new probes for mine and found the upgraded unit with 50% off on AMZ. Pretty freaking slick imho.
I know they removed a post from me and taught me the rule for Amazon's 3rd party sellers:
Must have over 1000 seller feedback ratings and have over 50 reviews for the item being sold.
I hope that sheds some light for you. Also if you look at your mod alerts history on your profile page, there may be an explanation there.

P.S.
The rule for eBay thread posts is a little different. I think they must specifically have at least 10 or more of the item available.
If I remember correctly, the seller must have over 10,000 feedback ratings with a 95% or higher rating?

Maybe a mod can verify the eBay thread post rules if my memory is off. I would happily correct any error. I forget where to link to find the details now.

As far as this thread, I do not think we can mention SD's competitors by name or even with specific clues that help to avoid censoring.
So I figured they would take this thread down when I came across it. I certainly won't risk breaking that rule.shake head
