I need a cheap TV to mount in my garage that I'll likely use just 1x per quarter. But at the same time I'm always look for best bang for my buck. Should I get this one? The Costco Hisense for like ~$230? Any other recommendations?

I bought this TV in the 65.inch size. The picture is great for the price but I will say I have had an issue with audio popping maybe once ever half hour to hour. Seems to be a software issue.

This one is mini LED so picture will look better. If you're just looking for a minimal use garage tv go with the Costco one.

Yeah, same for me. I originally was going to go Samsung or LG OLED but I keep reading about issues and complications with warranty repairs. Has me worried about going big ticket price.

I got a 50" u6h for $180. Pretty much best 50" you can buy outside of qn90c but that's over $1k.

Those are a nice value but make sure you get that extra warranty whether it be included or an additional cost. I couldn't begin to guess the number of stories I've heard and read of people bought higher end models from both Hisense and TCL to have them fail between year 1 and 3. I personally think the Super Bowl and the 2 months after are the best times to buy TVs and wouldn't be at all surprised if you could do a bit better than the U8 for around that same $700 depending on the size you are looking for. Little doubt in my mind that a 55" C3 will be able to be had for 1k or less.
