Leaky gut is not real. It is not recognized by any major medical organization. It is a hypothetical diagnosis used by many alternative medicine practitioners with wide ranging symptoms from chronic fatigue to autism. I'm not saying sucralose is good for you by any means, but you don't have use unscientific quackery to advise against its use.

Actually, he may not have said it in medical terms, but it is a real thing. Sucralose DOES disrupt the intestinal epithelial barrier. Maybe do a simple pubmed search before you put someone on blast for "unscientific quackery". I'm an MD by the way, and not an "alternative medicine practitioner". I tell my patients to reduce their sugar intake rather than replace with fake sugars.

That said, to each their own. There are worse things in life.

Awe cute. You linked a study you didn't even read. You should go to results and read the part where it says there could be a worry for people with too much artificial sweetener, like anything in this world. Having too much of something is bad. Crazy

Huh, it says at high concentration it causes cell death and at low concentration it causes intestinal permeability which is what their post was saying.

Sort of. Sucralose (which this product has in it) did not result in cell death:

it says in vitro. they even say in the conclusion that more studies need to be done in vivo...
