    EDIT: I will say the feature of having a rechargeable battery in it does add a little value.

    I'm a little bit of a projector nerd and if you're hung up on the specs for the price, maybe you're not realizing that this is NOT a home theater projector - It's a tiny portable projector about 4.5-inch x 4.5-inch. It's pocket-sized (maybe not for smaller pockets). BenQ makes decent projectors too, this is not like the alphabet-soup brand names on Amazon. I have owned HT models in the past. I currently have several full-size projectors and a bunch of portable or pico projectors from Epson, LG, Anker, Vankyo, and WeMax, some have similar specs and retail 2-3x this price. For this size and price - the specs are actually pretty OK. Of course it's not going to blow you away for $99, but for the intended purpose I think it's not a terrible deal. Go look at the prices on other portables from some of the name brand projector makers, you'll pay a hefty premium for better specs in this size.

    Nothing about this was a life-changing price or value. However, those shopping for a portable projector that isn't from a knock-off brand might have had some interest in this particular product at the given discount price.

    Really depends on the price point. At the lower end, it's not uncommon to see 480p, 540p, 720p say under maybe $300. I have not yet really seen 4k picos, but 1080p is becoming fairly common, they're just more expensive. Typically the 1080p portables are brighter and start around $300-400.. There's sort of balance between brightness, size, and resolution. The more you increase on any axis, the higher the price goes. So if you want a portable that has good brightness and good image quality, it's going to be expensive, if you want it small too - It's going to be almost comically priced. Most of them advertise that they "support 1080p" or something but you always have to check the fine print for the real resolution. Many are only like 540p native.
