Definitely a yes if you like games like Devil May Cry. I had a lot of fun playing Bayonetta 1 and then got 2 and 3 and then the spin off game for the switch.

Games made during PS3 gen or earlier generally have better gameplay than newer games, so yeah totally worth playing still.

I'm playing through now on my Steam Deck. On chapter 12. For better and for worse, it's a very Japanese game. The Gameplay overall is fun, but they randomly throw in some genuinely chaotic enemies that only a Ritalin-addled kid can handle adeptly. One time they sent two such enemies, I dispatched them, and then they just spawned two more, which wasn't so enjoyable. I might just be really bad at this game, but the economy seems really out of wack; getting a lot of the in-game currency through uninterrupted combos is difficult, and items cost a LOT. Finally, the story makes very little sense, though I am in awe of the how they came up with the names and classes of the enemies, totally bizarre.

A lot of buck wild shit in this game. It got pretty hard at times, but I managed to beat it.

This game was dope back in the day. May buy for the hell of it. Only nit pick about it is the bizarre "cutscenes" it had. Cost had to be cut somewhere so we got still images with voice overs.
