One of the images shows the kettle open, and you can see that the interior should be completely stainless steel. This is a company that also makes coffee mugs from borosilicate glass (basically zero on the toxic scale) so I am assuming they are clean.

This one seems to be new. Bought on an earlier deal here for open box/renewed. Been totally awesome, so far for 3½ months. Use almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day. 3 year Allstate warranty offered for additional $3.

They seem to be all over eBay from dozens of sellers for all sorts of prices. Read descriptions carefully.

because it's a somewhat designed by a known designer. TBH, this kettle only got 3.3 stars out of 5 from its official site. Personally, I'd pass and get something cheaper and probably better from Amazon.

I think what he meant was this does not have other temps you can heat the water to.

I've looked for a long time for one NOT made in China, but it's not easy. The ones that I have found, particularly those made in Germany, are only 220-240V which obviously won't work here. Those 220v ones are incredible though -- I lived in Germany for a few months, and it was like instant hot water.
