I watched a video of one and I believe it does not. The trigger switch at bottom is just on/off. Fellow SD-ers, correct me if I am in error.

Yes. The Bistro one, at least, I can confirm is just on or off. You won't get temperature unless you use something external to measure it.

I bought this one a month ago, but I couldn't get it to stop leaking. Some of the reviews had said it was because people would fill it past the fill line, but mine leaked even when below the fill line. It also felt extremely cheap and the cork handle did not seem designed to last.

I would avoid this and Bodum tea kettles. I got one last year and it lasted a little over a year (14 months). A wire melted through the bottom. Check Amazon reviews. I've seen a few others with the same problem.

avoid this particular tea kettle. had this for two years in black and not all good. there is a plastic ring type of thing at the bottom where for some reason water fills up, maybe leaks into it. also the lights went off, but the kettle was still functional. I remember buying it for $28 and for that I felt it was worth. I replaced it with govee smart kettle and very happy with that purchase till now.

Never, ever buy one of these Bodums. I'd seen reviews of leaking units but I wanted one so badly so I just went with it and it leaked. The replacement also leaked. If I made like 8-16 ounce coffees it would almost never leak but anything over that and it would effectively always leak without fail.

Agree these are not built with quality. Spend a little more on this Cosori kettle. Works great, sturdy and heats very fast.

For what it's worth, I haven't had any trouble with mine at all, but I'm reasonably careful with my things, and I don't use it every single day either. I think I picked mine up on clearance at a Target a few years ago and I've been happy with it.
