The X1 Carbon has weighed about 2.5 pounds for several generations. This Gen 10 is not heavier than the Gen 9.

If your kids/family needs a laptop this is spec is more than enough for most people.

If you are on apple ecosystem I prefer Apple MacBook M1 or M2 with 512Gb

Please realize that this "official lenovo store" is not actually the real lenovo company despite the authentic eBay verification. I verified this with the actual Lenovo company and they are aware of this impostor, but eBay will not do anything about it. Its not surprising, eBay has steadily gone downhill....

Check their horrible eBay feedback. if it were me I would stay clear of this ebay reseller.

I'd call it a bluff.
This store/seller has been posted hundreds of times here for years, by more well-versed people than me (experts, moderators, staff members, etc) and not once has anyone brought this up in the past. If this was the case, someone would've brought this up by now.

Also, when you search model numbers mentioned on Lenovo via ebay, the same device shows up at Lenovo Outlet most of the times, if not every, for the same price unless there's an extra discount at the ebay store/seller.

I'd call this a bluff unless this member can provide valid proof or other members vouch for this.

I was thinking the same, but for what it is worth, here's what I believe the same laptop on the lenovo site for $696:

From the eBay listing itself:

Shop with confidence
Direct from Lenovo
Item sold directly by the brand.
eBay Refurbished

Seems like it is from Lenovo….and Lenovo's eBay storefront.
