Uh, folks, this has been a core feature for just those fringe cards for a long time, and don't work on any other Capitol One cards, such as the good ones like Venture X. Literally why the Savor card is named savor.

$0 delivery fees on UberEats orders over the minimum, 5-10% off rides, food, grocery orders, and if a driver misses latest estimated arrival time you get $5 in uber cash each time.

Probably not worth paying for if you don't use uber quite often, but for free it's a good deal.

Yeah, what's up with that. New Venture X cardholder here.

I also learned that Capital One Venture card, a Visa SIgnature card, gets roadside dispatch service (flat or discounted roadside assistance). Venture X, which is a higher level Visa Infinite card gets jack squat for roadside assistance.

I don't understand why they don't offer this to Venture X.

The promo was whatever product it was called before they changed the name to uber one.
The previous program was a points rewards system, and it was free

Annoucement article [theverge.com]

Edit: commenter below me pointed out the existence of Uber Ride Pass, a paid predecessor.

They are probably referring to Uber Ride Pass, which was a $15 a month subscription which began in late 2018.

Hi! Recently got a SavorOne card but already did this Uber One credit promo with another Capital One card (Quicksilver). I wonder if we can do it again on the new SavorOne card!

It works, just switch the quicksilver card you pay for the subscription with, to the savorone card. I did this couple months ago. You'll see the same uber monthly credits on that statement for next time. The 10% cashback on ubereats/Postmates is good too.

One thing to add, also make sure to link a Marriot bonvoy acct to your Uber. Just some additional free points. They can even transfer to airlines they are associated with, but at a nerfed 3:1. But at least still free points

Has anyone ever received the $5 credit? I just ended a 90 trial and had a few deliveries where the delivery was way past the "guarantee" and never received any credits. But I also didn't complain. Kinda misleading if the credits aren't automatic let alone the further nuisance.

Also what's sketchy is the app will just continuously adjust the guarantee time as that time approaches. For example if the guarantee is 8:00 and it's 7:55 and the food hasn't been picked up yet, it'll change the guarantee to 8:20 with no notification or anything to you

Yeahhhh, it's free, yes, but you gotta pay for it and wait for the statement credit to appear. It's not immediate. It takes approximately 8-10 days each month for the credit to appear.

Thank you so much for the reply and tips! You rock! Helpful and knowledgable bro!

Our SavorOne though is less than a week old, lol. To be frank, this Uber One deal was one of the reasons we considered it. Will it still qualify for the Uber One credit with it being so new? Not sure if they have a clause about 'account needs to be established' etc etc.

And I know you are not SavorOne customer service, but I've learned more from your reply than the customer service person we spoke with to ask about this. She pretty much just answered my questions by reading lines from the promotional page which of course I've already read! Shows you how real-world experience like YOURS is more valuable than "customer service" that just read off a script.

Thanks again, awesome dtran324 and have a wonderful day Big Grin!!!

No, the Uber promo is a core feature of the Savor cards. Just start using it to pay the fee and you'll get a monthly statement credit and an email about it.

I've gotten it several times, though yes you have to use the app to report a problem with the order, then within a couple hours you get the credit.

I always screen shot the original order to avoid exactly that concern.

I agree both things that make specific benefit a bit more a PITA to actually benefit from, but really it ends up being an extra 30 seconds on each end for $5 each time, so still worth doing.... (but also part of why I say the membership is worth having for free but unlikely to be worth paying for unless you use Uber a LOT)

Capital One is weird. Chase is better.
