This phone is LOCKED which also mean bootloader locked
NO. Phone locked means it's SIM locked, not bootloader locked. While this phone is indeed bootloader locked, SIM locked has nothing to do with bootloader locked. You can have a SIM locked phone, while having an unlocked bootloader and vice versa.
Found this sim unlock trick on the $99 tracfone pixel 6a thread, not sure if it also applies pixel 7

To temp unlock it for using with other carriers: (one minor change, I can't find device setup in netguard, I disabled "carrier setup" instead)

Temporary unlock on Pixel is really risky (unlike the RSIM unlock that working in past on iPhones).
One mistake and it locks up again, with factory reset being the only way to try next round. Do this only if it's your secondary phone without anything critical on it. Also most Work apps won't install with an active VPN app like Netguard. |
Remove SIM card from the device. DO NOT INSERT IT UNTIL YOU FINISHED ALL THE LISTED STEPS.
Factory reset phone.
Go through OFFLINE set-up process.
Go to Settings – Apps – See All Apps.
On the three dots on the top right-hand side, tap show system.
Search – Device setup.
Tap Mobile data & Wi-Fi – deactivate Background Data.
Go back – Then "Battery" – Set to Restricted.
Go to home screen and pull screen down.
Press and hold Internet until it opens.
Select the desired Wi-Fi network and connect.
Tap on gear on the right of your connected WIFI.
Tap Network Usage – select "Treat as metered."
Go to the playstore Search "NetGuard", install it
Open NetGuard, give it unrestricted battery permissions (so it can run allways) dont worry its super safe.
Tap the three dots on netguard, settings, advanced options and enable "manage system apps"- exit netguard settings.
on netguerd main screen search "Device Setup" and disable the wifi and data communications by taping the little icons next to it
Go back to home screen and insert SIM card.
Enjoy using your unlocked device.

I am not sure about 7pro but mine 6a was unlocked from the day I received.
I look like a new account to Mint each time by using Gmail's "plus sign" feature whereby you insert some random text preceded by a plus sign right before the @ in your email address and that extra stuff looks like a different address to Mint, but Gmail ignores it. For example:
[email protected]
Looks unique to Mint, but still gets processed to the [email protected] address by Google. I often use the company and date for the random text to ensure it's unique, so I'd have:
[email protected]
Texting via group texts sometimes doesn't go through (or come through) and sending pictures via text just don't work. After troubleshooting for a year with support and reddit forums, there still isn't a fix. It got better after switching the APN and found one that works OK, but it's never consistent.
Just a warning to anyone considering the switch.

Great price but the phone is locked. Anyone know if it's unlocked after completing the included 12 months?

For full paid phones - can request unlock in 60 days.
Also, do you really have to port in? I've never seen that enforced.
Source: just tried it and didn't work lol
