I have this printer and it's been amazing. It is a great way to get into 3D printing and works well out of the box. It still has some of the Creality quirks that inspire some learning, but nearly as much as some earlier versions. Highly recommend, especially at this price. Great deal.

My mistake was seeing a Bambu printer... They really are on another level and in a class of their own. It's not as "fun" since you don't really tinker with anything, it just works. Every time. Crazy fast. The value proposition, even at 4x the price (for a P1P), it phenomenal.

Just recently:

1. Cookie cutters for wife. Christmas cookies.
2. Holiday necklace for kids, like fake Christmas lights around the neck.
3. 6x Balance Tetris gifts with box for gifts.
4. Winter decor for my storefront.
5. Upgrades for my new printer K1Max
6. Parts for another new printer (to print chocolate)

You can do limitless things. It's akin to asking what you can do with a hammer: a lot, and not a lot at the same time: depends on what you need hammered.

Consolation thumbs up. Is this price too good to pass up? I've wanted a 3d printer for yrs but never had a suitable area for one until recently.
While this is an amazing printer, if you don't have time to tinker and dial in the settings to be just right, this may not be the best for you. Prusa mk4 and any bambu labs printer are an "out of the box" experience that will give you some really fantastic prints without having to mess with the settings or even hardware to get it right. They have a much heftier price tag though so thats the trade off

If you know how to design 3D then the possibilities are endless. Especially if you are a diy-er since you are always missing a part or need something to connect two things together.

Here is what I remember just recently

- lip on for processor that tells machine that the lid is closed before so I designed and printed a new lip and glued it to the lid. Works perfectly

- The strap on my son's crocs broke so I made him one in tpu (elastic filament) with his name on it

- end plug for the handle bar on my motorcycle

If you don't know how to 3D design/don't want to learn then you'll have to use other people's design. Here are two places you'll find a lot of free designs to check out the possibilities

all the plastic crap that breaks around my house.

recently printed a small car part too. they are very handy if you know how to apply them. then again its just another thing to have around, and filament hoarding can be a problem.

Great printer.
For learning how to become a 3D printer technician.

But if you just want to print 3D things then buy a Bambu Labs.

$150 extra but if you don't want to waste time being a 3D printer technician, it's worth it.

SE 100% for auto z offset. There's no reason to buy any other ender model other then the k1's, and ender 3 v3 se and ke.
I bought the Ender V3 KE for my first printer. I haven't opened it yet because it's a Christmas present for my kid. I decided to spend a little more because it seemed to have so many more features than the cheaper Enders, like auto calibration, speed and wifi. I hope it's awesome and I use it a lot.

This is a great deal. I paid $200 when Microcenter was giving that deal. Very solid build, no wiggle. It has automatic bed leveling and is direct drive, which make a huge difference vs the Ender-3. It works great with OctoPrint, or you can buy Creality's cloud print gadget to do wireless. There are plenty of upgrades and replacement parts available for cheap, even to upgrade it to be essentially an S1 Pro (overhead light, all-metal hot-end, touch screen). There are also community firmware upgrades for more advanced users.

The main complaints I've heard are about the auto bed leveling having a Y-offset, but it's been factory configured close enough for me to not notice.

Set it up, adjust the eccentric nuts, and adjust the z-offset. It should be good to go.

Then when something goes wrong with your Bambu Labs printer, you just go 🤷🏻 ♂️ and leave it in a corner for 10 years?

This or the Creality Ender 3 SE for $20 more?
I got the V3 SE for less than this
It was $159 and I used a $25 off submit a build coupon
I think it is up to $169 now so still cheaper to get theV3 SE
I still haven't unboxed mine yet but now I keep seeing bad reports about the the SE and specifically the auto Z and leveling mess
Not sure if this got better with new FW or not
But I seem to be seeing more mixed reviews now on the V3 SE
Now that it has been out for awhile.
Almost all initial reviews were good
But they were all sponsored or they got a free review units
I am starting to see complaints from ordinary users now.
I hope this will be a good for me as a beginner.
I hope if there are problems Creality will be able to fix them with a FW update or that the community will find solutions quickly.
I am already starting to question whether I should have just went for the KE but at that price point I would have probably just went for the K1 since it was in sale for $350 and I could have used the $25 off coupon ,so $325 for the K1 or 280- $25 for the KE know of seems like a no brainier to go for the K1
But I just decided to get the SE since it was in sale and save the money and see how low the bambu's drop next black Friday
