I owned the matching reciprocating saw and Black & Decker seems to have a problem with faulty batteries. I replaced it several times when I should've purchased a better brand to begin with.

They have a high low-voltage cutoff on the charger, and drain somewhat quickly just sitting around. This makes then appear dead when they are really just drained. However, they are super easy to jump, and come right back to life.
