There's probably more on sale, but these are the ones that I found interesting. Similar sale last year, but this year not as many titles on sale. Last year I picked up DQ 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, FF7 (not on sale this year) and Chrono Trigger. I highly recommend the Dragon Quest series. I picked up DQ 5 this year. (I haven't gotten around to playing DQ 3 yet because I decided to hold out for the 2DHD remake.)

I remember paying 80 bucks for it at Toys R Us in 1995. Unheard of price but a very lengthy game with multiple endings.

I will buy the ones I don't have, thank you. My big gripe is that none of these can be played on Apple TV! Why? I just can't stand playing these on a phone or iPad. So I don't know why I've bought them all. Never played them.

I wonder if they are just ports or remakes. I loved secret of mana growing up so I would like it for iPad if it had updated graphics and Tablet friendly ui

You don't need to play dq 1 at all to enjoy the Dragon Quest series. I would recommend starting off anywhere between dq 4 and 8, because the storylines are more complex and interesting than the first 3.

Also note that dq 1-4 were originally released on the nes, dq 5-6 were released on the snes, and dq 8 was released on the ps2.

Are you sure? Chrono Trigger says it works on Apple TV.
