Nice. Hopefully less premium brands will make these soon to get them down to the ~$500 range. 38" a good size for 4k as 43" is too big and it's all that's available since 40" ones seem to have died out.

I think this is the perfect size, mainly because (at least for me) the PPI is in my ideal 115-120 range. Currently have 2 32" 4K monitors for work. Love the screen real estate, but the two issues are that I have the gap between the two monitors right in the center, and with 32" 4K I find myself needing to increase text size or get uncomfortably close for certain apps.

Previously had 3 25" 1440P monitors and I really liked having the center screen for my main task. The PPI on the 25" 1440P monitors was perfect, and it's slightly too high on the 32" 4K. This 38" 4K has an almost identical PPI to the 25" 1440P.

So I think I'm going to go for this as my main, with 2 of my old 25" 1440P monitors in portrait on either side. This should be the perfect setup for me. The height of the 25" 1440P in portrait is within an inch of the height of the 38" 4K, the total width of the setup would be similar to the dual 32s, and, as mentioned, the PPI is almost identical. So this should give a seamless transition between the 3 monitors. Ancillary benefit is that I could also use the main 38" for some light gaming.

If you're looking for a monitor for both productivity and gaming, I think this one is hard to beat. Like others said, I hope more companies use this panel, or develop new monitors in the 38" 4K form factor. It really is the ideal size to avoid having to increase scaling.

32" 4K - 137.7 PPI
38" 4K - 115.9 PPI
25" 1440P - 117.5 PPI

OLED has a weird subpixel layout which makes text look pretty bad. Also has a fairly high risk of burn in on a PC vs using it as a television due to static images like your desktop.

I see this is down to 688.99 on Amazon now. Don't want to repack and return but around 80 bucks is a big gap. Loving this so far though, might be the best monitor i've ever owned.

I had the same issue lol. If you have prime, you can try to call and get their "one-time" per account price adjustment. Or reorder to a store and return same day, if that's worth it to you.

Just an FYI if you're interested in this it's going in and out of stock - so keep checking. Was about to pull the trigger last night and it became unavailable. Mine is coming tomorrow, bought at $764.99 listing. Just checked now and looks like they don't have new any more and selling used at $682.10. I missed the new $688.99 deal Frown

But now price went down and Amazon customer care is saying that they can't do price match (even with their own listing) and suggesting to place a new order. Doesn't amazon track order number vs product's serial number to identify which item was sent for which order?

Thanks. Just ordered at $688.99. But Amazon won't cancel my earlier order. Basically they are saying to decline to delivery by not giving pin code and let the courier take it back. So I will have to wait little longer to get my refund for original order. Still worth as it saves $88 😄

Shouldn't the SKU be the same though? Like it would be the same exact item so how can they find out? I did the same thing. Mine arrives on Sunday and I have one on the way that arrives next Friday because they won't price match. I was thinking of just opening up the one that comes in on Sunday and use it and return the other one but return it as if it was the one for $764 or something like that.
