THESE ARE GARBAGE!!
You have been warned.

2 1/2 years and they are becoming Rust Buckets at all the corners..
The Stainless Steel is pitting.

The ONLY Reason I even bought them was the Lowes clearance Deal and paid $1,200
Fridge, Sink, Corner, 5-Burner Gas Grill.

The best Part is the "InfraRed" which I was used to from a previous grill.
Make sure you put all covers in the connecting access holes even If you are running wires inside the cabinets, cut a hole and then tape it up with foil tape.
The fridge and Grill have openings underneath that critters can easily climb through. put some type of screen.
Buying is the easy part, put them together is the exciting part, first time use os the peak, then nightmare begin. The worst part is how to get rid of them.

Semi Covered, with the grill and sink covers
I had the charbroil professional series that lasted 8-10 years and gave it away when we moved and bought this set.

My wife wanted to get me a griddle for Fathers Day in June, even though I had said NOT to..
They dropped it off...and ran. pieces on the floor. CS sucked. Had to file claim with Amex

Crap, I just got this set from Lowe's for 75% off.
I am taking this to my rooftop, so it will be uncovered.

Anything I can do to prevent the rust? Should I spray the cabinets with platidip or something?

I have yet to try it myself, but I would coat all the metal with ceramic.

That's crazy. I was very tempted to jump on this deal. I'm still using a 4 burner Weber summit that is roughly 25 years old now. It looks dated but the stainless is still rust free and the black paint is still glossy. The only items I've ever had to replace are the wheels and ignitors. Wife keeps giving me crap that I should let it go and get a new one but all of these stories I hear of poor SS and 2-3 year life spans of new grills makes me want to keep my old grill. Mine was made in the USA… I don't know how the new Chinese Webers are holding out. Im almost tempted to tear it apart and turn it into a built in.

They don't make them like they use to. My webber start rusting badly at 8 years but it was under the 10 year warranty so they send me a new cover.

These entire setups are complete piles of Sh%# trust me!! They will RUST OUT guaranteed and require a plethora of maintenance and protection to maintain and enjoy. Just so I don't sounds so pessimistic, if you have $20's that you regularly use to wipe your poop shoot…. Go For this Setup…. Granite looks great and you get a cool sink & fridge… total bragging rights to your friends & neighbors. On the other end of reality however, Lowe's dumped these at a sick discount not only for the dust growing on the crates, but because the granite is junk and the entire setups end to end are plagued with poor quality metal, components, you name it. You're literally buying asthetics here people and wasted space to boot…. Go for a nice painting instead, it'll last longer, and probably go up in value way quicker vs. scrap metal recycling payouts.

Keep your old grill! Most of these
newer grills are 'throw away grills' that you're lucky to get 3-4 years out of before they rust out on you.

Well…in for the entertainer setup. Just about fits my space in a covered lanai. Have about a 2" gap to fill, which is easy enough.

I'll definitely use the ceramic coating and covers.

This is significantly cheaper than trying to buy the pieces, frame it, and get all the stone work done. Hopefully I don't have a nightmare in 2 years 😂

umm if you leave a stainless grill of any brand outside, some minor rust and discoloration will happen... you'd be hard pressed to find something with some coating that works and endures the heat cycles...

I'd had a few char broil grills and did little to nothing to prevent/maintain it. I'd still be warry about spending this much on the brand... that being said, I have a napoleon now, and it get little 'rust' areas that clean off fairly easy when I care to do it.

I've only had problems with internals rusting out (after years or use and not cleaning them ever) and great luck with the warranty claims I'd done which were few since they went far past the warranty period before I had a problem. If you have the money to consider this, I feel like you either should A, not being shopping this brand, or B, not worried about it because people that buy this kinda stuff have 10k patio furniture and this is chump change.
