How accurate are these? We have a MAJOR ground hog problem in the summer and I've watched them destroy several gardens.

Buy a cheap 22 or a pellet gun if you want to deal with groundhogs. Gel blasters won't do anything.

I'm genuinely sad that my kid is going to have a HK G36C before me... I'm going to have to get myself one to match it, unfortunately it won't cost 20$ 🤣
Check out Tommy Tactical's conversions if you haven't seen them. Not cheap, but very cool!

Word of caution, these hurt, and I mean really hurt.
They're basically a very lightweight paintball gun. At close range (<8 feet), they'll leave a welt.

Agreed. They'll put a good dent in a soda can at six feet, but would probably just annoy a groundhog.

Just don't hydrate them and flavor them like something the groundhog would eat...

seems like a gift youd give a kid you hate.

if they swallow the beads they won't stop expanding - incredibly dangerous items to keep in the home

decent accuracy at 20 to 30 feet. but the beads really start to drop after that

Hey I don't know much about these but I'm assuming these use the same gel balls as the nerf branded guns right?

Looked for info on the company. DAC Technologies is a manufacturer of safety locks and cleaning kits for real guns. 30 day warranty. All items on the gel blaster's site are out of stock.

Still for sale at my local walmart as well as an entire shelf of other brand gel blasters at regular price. These were on sale for $49 at my store vs the $19 online. Online there are still hundreds of different brand gel blasters for sale so they don't seem to be going anywhere despite that article above!
Walmart won't allow them th ebe "marketed to kids under 9" and Target won't allow them to be marketed to "kids under 12" So I guess as long as there is no photo of a 9 year old on the box they are good to still sell them. Don't most kids stop putting stuff in their mouth that isn't food before 5 years old generally? I mean there are the idiots doing the tide pod challange at 16 but Darwin needs to thin the herd at least occasionally!

We like this gun, our first of the type. Much more substantial than expected. Also surprisingly accurate and fires fast, with good range. Not sure about the original price but this is really nice for twenty bucks.

I'd love to pump a full magazine directly into the eyes of whomever is responsible for all the fake McAfee antivirus popups that keep hijacking this site - took me multiple tries just to post this.

These are basically orbies, the same type of stuff that is in diapers and potting soil to absorb liquids (polyacrolomide crystals for example). They swell to 3-5 times the size when exposed to liquid for a long period of time (hours). As with all things creatures prone to ingesting volumes of things that should not be eaten, keep away from said creatures.

When used as directed, the gel projectiles explode on anything remotely hard in an appropriate range. When absorbed in soil, it's likely good for the soil (so miracle grow sells you). I would not use these inside a residence. Pain is less than a paintball, being a pretty good sting at point blank but not leaving a bruise or welt on a hand. They do bounce back but as tiny gel pieces that safety glasses are more than sufficient for. I've been told the colored ones stain, but I haven't seen it yet.

Reliability on this model is good when used as directed until you get to the bottom of the magazine at which point you want to fire upside down to empty the magazine. I was impressed with the full auto mode. Much better than I anticipated. Single shot worked very reliably with only a few misfires per magazine with a mag not borderline empty.

Bottom line adhere to the warnings, keep away from small children and supervise/teach the proper use to teenagers.

Edit: Gel BB's take 4 hours soked in water to be ready to shoot. The bottle included holds about 500 shots, and on full auto it can go in less than a minute. It is battery powered via included rechargeable battery. I'd recommend using an air compressor to blow it out when done for the day. They say dry it out with q-tips, but that doesn't reach much. As someone who moved into a residence who previously frequently shot airsoft outside, this would've been infinitely better. Lastly, this looks like a real gun, albeit a cartoon one. If you live in an area where you don't feel safe playing around with clear colorful light up toys that actually shoot, for the love of all you find holy don't get this. There have been worse mistakes made by people responding to a perceived threat.
