This is secondipity, this seller has been rehashed here many many times.

In short, it is used/open box but 99% of the time is indistinguishable from brand new. Returnable within 30 days only. You can either purchase additional warranty protection, or your credit card might offer it for free. The same seller also sells on eBay which grants a 2yr warranty.

I bought this "refurbished" from them but it was probably brand new, marketed as refurbished to not undercut Bose. Kind of like the "refurbished" directtools.com tools if you're familiar with that.

This is my first set of noise-cancelling headphones. I just tested them in a local public library. I am disappointed that they allow a conversation to sound in. I can hear people talking, furniture moving, and some sounds. I did notice that fans, air conditioners, central heating, and similar machine noises are blocked. Might be convenient in a computer data center but not good for a crowd. I had hoped that these headphones would block conversations, random noises, background sounds, and distractions. I also noticed that if I use the audio cable my audio sources are quieter than if I use Bluetooth connection. They are comfortable to wear for hours but I am overall disappointed by the lackluster noise cancellation feature.

I bought one and appears ok. The box looks scuffed up a bit but the product is functional and looks new. I did not see any additional warranty information to select. I noticed that the manual was missing but I downloaded it online. I was able to register on the Bose website. It comes with an audio-only cable, not an audio and microphone cable. I tested with an audio and microphone cable and the microphone functions when the cable is connected to a phone.

You need to disable "aware" mode from the app. LMAO

Please read what I wrote. I am using the Quiet Mode in the app. The Quiet Mode allows voices, furniture moving, and random noises to be heard. It only hushes consisten machine noises such as centralized heating vents, air conditioners, and train engine noise. The train notifications, alerts, and announcements are audible. I turned off hear my own voice feature as I heard surrounding noises when I was on a call. Disappointing. I assume you do not own this product because of your comment.

I noticed the Custom Mode option is no longer available in the Bose Music app. Is it only available for APAC but not the USA? Custom Mode allows you to adjust the noise cancelation feature settings.
